Welcome to Tony's page!
My name is Tony L. and I am a 7th grader at Chute. This is my second year in media arts and this is my favorite fine arts class in the school. In media arts I can do photoshop, 3D prints, and use the Carvey machine. My favorite part of my day as a 7th grader is media arts becuase I really enjoy working with computors and other forms of technology.
This is my photoshop quote project. What I had to do in class was choose a word that describes me and I chose determination becuase no matter the circumstances and no matter what situation I may be, I never know when to back down or quit. I firdt had to take a picture of myself and upload it to my desktop folder. After uploading the image I then opened a new photoshop document and titled it "Jose Quote". I then looked up quotes that best fit my word. After that I went to a website called Dafont, Dafont is a website that allows me to download different fonts. After a couple days of finding a font, I finally had the font you see above. After finding my font, I began to type my quote and begin tracing. The Tracing processtook a few days because I had to get the smaller details and I had to restart my tracing becuase the original was a little bland. After I finished tracing, I saved the project as a Jpeg file and uploaded it here.
Issue Based Project
This is my issue based project. I decided to base this topic of of Trump's travel ban on refugees entering the United States from certain countries. I strongly disagreed with his decision because I believe that the United States is a place here people from all over the world can come and start over to escape their past lives from whereever they may come from. I first found an imae related to this topic and chose the image of two people shaking hands, one with the United States flagand the other with the Syrian flag. I chose the image to trace because I felt this image was a great example of unity between both countries. I dragged the image into photo shop and changed the size so that it took up the majority of my workspace. After I found the right size, I locked the image so that it can no longer be edited. I thin got the brush tool and began to trace the image. Tracing the outline of both figures took about three days becuase of the use of thick and thin lines. After tracing both figures I began to work on the flags. The Syrian flag took about two days because there was alot to fill in and there wasnt as much detail as the American Flag which took me about 4 days because of all the stars. After filling in both figures with each flag,I made the original image invisible to make it easier for me to make any small changes that had to be done. After that I used the bucket tool to make the background a light blue so that both figures stand out. I then went to look on the internet I looked for quotes that represented unity and eventually found the quote you see above.

Final Minecraft Project screenshots
This is my final Minecraft project. I've been working on this project for about a week and a half and accomplished a lot in that time frame. I decided to make a resturant because I wanted to build a place where people can go relax and hang out. I used nether brick for the and quarts to build the exterior and interior of the building. I used quarts stairs as chairs because there is no chairs and Minecraft. I used nether brick fences and light grey carpet for the tables and glowstone for the lighting. Behind the counter in the image above are chests full of food and drinks.
