Project 1
Describe your poster's message.
My poster is supposed to show that even if life can get you down sometimes, overall life can be very good, so keep on going.
Describe your design choices for each- what were some of the choices you made and why?
The first one I just used contrast, but the lettering was too small. The second time a made a much bigger picture, but there was less contrast. Finally, I made a version that had contrast and large text.
Tell what makes your final design the best one. What design choices make it the most successful?
It has a lot of contrast and it also has large letters.
Tell three things you learned about designing a successful poster.
Use contrast, large letters, and good colors.
Project 2

1)So far I have cut the small child and the teacher. I have also measured what I think are the dimensions of the characters, but I think I need to re-measure the teacher.
2)I need to work on the background, and that is all.
3)Currently, I do want some sort of emphasis on the book, and I have decided to use a light.

This week I made a small circuit on the back of my small kid. I have also worked on my side project, researching stuff about a new Evanston flag.
Media Arts Final Project
This is a video of our flags in a flag simulator. The picture on top is our first design, but our second design is in the video. The first flag has very little symbolism. with the colors showing it's nature, including water, snow and greenery. The second flag has water on the sides, with the nine stars representing the nine wards. and the oak representing the greenery.
Final Reflection
Favorite Parts:
My favorite part of the class was the ending project where I made prototypes of Evanston flags. It was really fun looking at videos about how to make a good flag, what makes a good flag, and then applying it in my own flags.
Skills That I Learned:
I learned how to make a good flag. I also learned how to make a gif in photoshop, and lasercut my own wood pieces.
Challenges I Faced:
Me and Harry had some disagreements on what makes a good flag, but we worked through them well.
