What is the main message of your poster?
The main message of my poster is to stop global warming, and to Save the Earth. Describe the choices you made with font, images, color, layout, and composition to communicate your message. I decided to color the background black because the picture had a black background, but also because the black background gave it a sort of ominous, spacey look. I chose the fonts because each font represented the words it was saying. I chose this picture because Earth is what needs to be saved. How did your poster change with each version? What changes did you make to get to your completed poster? I had to add the different fonts, and I had to change the size of the words and Earth. The formatting changed throughout the processes. What parts of your poster do you feel are most successful? The most successful part of my poster is the way the different fonts represent the things that they're saying. For example, the "Global Warming" part of it looks like it's on fire. |

Laser Burned Wood Project
I want to burn a design on a piece of wood. I'm thinking about designing a water droplet bouncing on the surface of water. I think that a burned water image will look really cool, because water and fire are pretty much opposites. Most people think that water and fire repel each other, but I want to show that water and fire are actually very similar.
Second Laser Burned Wood
I decided to make a second burned piece of wood because I finished early. I wanted to make a cello because I play the cello, and because I thought that it would look cool to burn a cello onto a piece of wood. It turned out wonderfully, and the laser captured the tiniest details, such as the individual strings and the shadow of the fingerboard and bridge.
Innovation Project
We were tasked to come up with a solution to an everyday problem. Jessica and I came up with the idea to make a phone holder that hangs off a charger brick. We also decided we would burn a design on the back because we'll be working with wood. Jessica's is going to have Patrick from SpongeBob, and mine is going to have a phoenix, which is a mythical firebird.
